make a difference.

Help us pack produce bags, build a raised bed or clean in our cafe.

Help us make nutritional, local food available to all. We always need volunteers to pack and organize bags for our food pantries, help loading and unloading for our mobile market stops, and more.

Standing Volunteer Opportunities: Simply Show Up!

  • The Food Mill Food Pantry: Join us at The Food Mill pantry on the 2nd & 4th Monday of every month at the Fox Community Center from 2:30pm to 6pm (or until the food runs out). We provide essential, short-term assistance to the Truth Spring and North Highland communities. Volunteers distribute a variety of shelf-stable foods to our neighbors, assist with the intake process for new customers, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Customers can also purchase fresh, local produce from our Mobile Market, and we accept SNAP/EBT. Your support helps us make a real impact—we look forward to working alongside you! Kindness and respect to our Food Mill pantry staff and volunteers is required. Inappropriate treatment to fellow shoppers, staff or volunteers will not be tolerated.

  • The Food Mill Mobile Market: Help bring fresh, nutritious food directly to areas of high nutrition insecurity with Mobile Market! With 21% of our community facing food insecurity, your support makes a big difference. Our 26-foot refrigerated truck keeps food fresh on the go. SNAP benefits are accepted, and customers can double their produce value through the Georgia Fresh for Less Program. Come help us load/unload and serve our valued customers! View the Mobile Market calendar here, and show up to any or all stops!
